Catrice BB cream review

Happy Monday you guys!
Last week, while I was shopping a bit, I decided to take this BB cream by Catrice with me. Catrice is a very known drugstore, budgetproof brand that has really good quality for the money you pay. I have a hard time finding a good BB cream because I'm quite pale and not all brands have very light shades but I need one for the summer so I thought I'd give this one a try. I got the shade "Rosy Beige", which is the second lightest colour. The reason I did this is because I will probably be using this BB cream a lot during summer, and I might get a bit more tan by then.

This is how the tube looks. I like the packaging and I also like how you can dose precisely.

The BB cream promises to be balancing, correcting, protecting, illuminating, covering and moisturizing. I'm not really the type to believe in all the marketing tricks but okay. Covering, correcting and balancing also all means thesame thing. Kind of.
 We'll see how it works!

So this is what the BB cream looks like when it comes out of the tube.
Whenever I put on BB cream, I don't put on moisturizer or anything. Well, Catrice promises that the BB cream is moisturizing so I shouldn't even bother to worry.

And this is what it looks like when I've rubbed it open on my hand. The colour isn't as dark as I expected it to be. The coverage is okay. I do feel like it's hard to apply sometimes. Some BB creams go on very smooth and others don't. This one takes a bit more time and a bit more work. Maybe I should try it with a beauty blender next time?

Over all I'm pretty happy with the result. Of course I do still need concealer and the "6 in 1" thing wasn't intirely true, but it's not a bad product either. I think this'll be nice to wear in summer.

Essence big curl volume mascara review!

Hello! Happy Saturday you guys! I hope you're all enjoying your weekend and getting ready for Monday.
If there's one thing I never skip in my makeup routine, it's my mascara. I like trying out new brands and mascaras so today I'm going to test a mascara that I got by Essence. I do have a lot of eyeshadow palettes by Essence but I never tried their mascara before....

The mascara I'm testing today is the Essence "get big lashes volume curl" mascara.
I do like the packaging, it's cute and girly and it got my attention rightaway.
The shape of the wand is a little bit different than what I'm used to. As you can see it's bend. This makes it a little easier to apply the mascara - and I guess it curls the lashes a little bit better too. I curl my lashes before applying mascara anyway so for me it doesn't make a big difference.

The mascara is quite nice even though you have to be very careful with it. Two layers is the absolute maximum and even then you have to be careful not to get spider lashes. The mascara does make my lashes longer and darker. Volume? Hmm a little, but not so much.

Conclusion? I do like the mascara. It gives me the result I want and it's super budgetproof.

H&M lipgloss in "Coral" review

Hi everyone! Today I'm reviewing a lipgloss by H&M. I do own one other lipgloss and I like to wear it from time to time.
Now, I got my second one and I'm going to tell you what I think of it!
The packaging of the lipgoss is very cute, it's an orange kind of colour. It's called "Coral". The cap has little pink and white stripes on it, which I like very much. It reminds me of summer, candy and happiness.

Just like my other lipgloss from H&M, very little colour comes off. It's not that nothing comes off, it's just not very pigmented. It does make my lips look kind of sparkly, which I love.
I wouldn't buy it if I was looking for a lipgloss with good pigmentation, but I think this one is nice enough for everyday, casual use.

Eyeshadow dupes - comparing makeup

Hello everyone! Today I'm going to be comparing two eyeshadows. Earlier, I was going through my makeup and I found some items that looked similar. I did, if I'm not mistaking, write a post about makeup dupes already earlier so now it's time to do the second one.
A little while ago I got the new smokey eyes set by Catrice and Mitty also gave me this single eyeshadow. Two new items, from two new brands, that look similar. Time to compare!

The first palette, by Catrice is called "Meet me at the bonfire". It holds a black eyeshadow, an olive green eyeshadow and a really light eyeshadow that is between light pink and white. This last colour is the one that I will be comparing.
I'll be comparing the eyeshadow with my single eyeshadow by Essence, called "Blockbuster".

Here are the two swatches. The highlight colour from Catrices palette on the right is a little bit more shimmery when "Blockbuster" by Essence is obviously matt.

Aside from the shimmer they do still look pretty similar. The shimmery one might just be a little bit more pigmented. I use both colours as highlight, "Blockbuster" for everyday and the Catrice palette for events or going out. Thanks for reading!

Hello you guys!
Today I went shopping a little bit to get new shoes and pants that I needed. I had a lot of fun and bought a lot of clothing that I will be showing in outfit of the day pictures. I - of course - also got a few makeup item.
Most of the items that I got aren't really new, they just weren't available in my store until now! I got a new mascara by Essence, a translusent powder, two new concealers and two new makeup brushes! I'm very excited to test and review them all for you.
They look extremely good and I'm glad I got the chance to buy them!

Thanks for reading!
See you soon!
